Mike Lopp
Senior Pastor
Pastor Mike has served as Senior Pastor at Trinity since 1997. He is passionate about God’s Word and teaching others how to handle it correctly. His calling is to “make disciples who make disciples” as he knows the power of the Gospel to transform hearts and lives. He is an energetic speaker and teacher.
Mike grew up in the St. Charles, Missouri area. He came to Christ as a teenager, and was called into the ministry at the age of 15. He attended Southwest Baptist University, where he received his BA in Religious Studies and Psychology. In 2009 he completed his Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice Seminary.
In addition to a great passion for the truth of God, Pastor Mike is also known to also have a passion for football, motorcycle riding, playing basketball, working out and staying in shape.
Pastor Mike met his wife, Angi, while attending Southwest Baptist University. They have been married since 1987, and view themselves as a team in ministry. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.

Chris Phillips
Associate Pastor of Children & Students
Pastor Chris’ passion is to see our children, students, and their families become fully-devoted followers of Christ. He loves to see young people transformed to live their lives for Christ.
Trinity welcomed Pastor Chris as Associate Pastor of Children and Students in October 2012. He was born and raised in Lake City, FL. He graduated from the Baptist College of Florida in 2008 with a BA in Ministry. In 2021 he completed his Master of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
While at college, Chris met his wife, Rebekah. They were married in 2009, and now have four children – Timothy, Kaitlynn, Karis and Jonathan. Chris and his family are avid fans of the Florida Gators (we are still converting them to be a fervent Packers and Badgers fans!). He enjoys football and sports, games, and spending time with his family.

Jeff Owen
Director of Worship Ministries
Jeff officially came on staff at Trinity as interim Director of Worship Ministries in August 2024. He has been a member of Trinity since 2010 and was affirmed as an elder in 2019.
In 2015 Jeff earned his diploma in Church Planting from Midwestern Baptist College giving him biblical, theological, historical, and personal training for lay ministry in the local church. He serves on the Worship Team, Tech Team, and leading Adult Small Groups. He also serves on Minnesota-Wisconsin Disaster Relief.
Jeff and his wife, Deb, have been married over 35 years. They have two adult children and enjoy being grandparents.

Joel Jacobson
Elder
Joel has been a member of Trinity since 1999 and was affirmed as an elder in 2021. He volunteers on the Finance Team , Wonewoc Bible Club, and teaching Discovering Life at Trinity classes. He has also been active in Trinity's Adult Small Group ministry and previously served on the Elder Team for some years.
Joel and his wife, Andrea, have been married over 30 years. They have three adult children, and love spending time with their family - especially their five grandchildren!

Jeff Young
Elder
Jeff has been a member of Trinity since 2006 and was affirmed as an elder in 2021. He has been active in our Adult Small Group Ministry and currently leads a life group. He is also frequently seen around the church lending a hand or making repairs.
Jeff and his wife, Lisa, have been married for over 40 years. They are empty nesters with two adult children and five grandchildren. They are thrilled by the emphasis that Trinity is currently executing with our Impact Generations campaign, as nothing is more important than facilitating “raising up children in the way they should go”.

Paul Fries
Elder
Paul has been a member of Trinity since 2022 and was affirmed as an elder in 2024. He is active in our Adult Small Group Ministry and Missions Team. He also serves as Moderator of Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association and a past President of the Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention.
Paul and his wife, Cheryl, have been married 49 years. God has blessed them with three children, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and nine grandchildren! In 2021 Paul and Cheryl moved to Reedsburg after retiring so that we could be close to their daughter, son-in-law and four grandchildren.
Paul earned an undergraduate degree in theology from Florida Baptist Theological College (now Baptist University of Florida) and a master’s degree in theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He entered pastoral ministry and previously served churches in Florida, Missouri and Wisconsin. Angie Bergman
Office Administrator
Angie has been on staff at Trinity since February 2009. She loves doing the behind-the-scenes work that allows others to focus and use their time to minister in the way God gifted them to. She assists Pastor Mike with preparing sermon outlines, PowerPoints; handles registration and materials for classes and events, and supports small groups. She handles general communication, prints the weekly bulletin, creates announcement slides for Sunday mornings, and maintains the church database and website.
Angie and her husband, Dan, have been married over 30 years and have been members at Trinity since 2000. Together they serve as Trinity’s hospitality ministry team leaders. They have been blessed with three children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two grandchilden. Angie enjoys spending time with family, watching her kids perform in the arts, and taking road trips.

Rebekah Phillips
Administrative Assistant
Rebekah officially came on office administrative staff at Trinity in February 2024. She continues to volunteer in many other areas of the church including VBS, Promiseland Children's Ministry, Children's Christmas Program, Senior Luncheon Ministry, and anywhere else that is needed.
Rebekah was born on Clark Air Base in the Philippines and lived in several states before serving on the mission field in West Africa. She and her husband, Pastor Chris, met and graduated from The Baptist College of Florida (now known as Baptist University of Florida). They have both been very involved in our local association and state convention of churches. Rebekah has served on the Children’s Ministry Team for Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention for 8 years and wrote for Lifeway’s VBS curriculum for the past 3 years. She also serves with Chris on the planning team and helps lead Equip NextGen Conference for MWBC.

They are a homeschooling family and involved in several community activities including 4-H, soccer, library programs and tee ball. They have modeled and taught their children that everyone should be involved in ministry, and their kids can be seen serving on the tech team, greeting, stacking chairs, being involved in VBS and many other ways.

Glen Slaats
Administrative Assistant to Children and Students Ministry
Glen came on staff in September 2021, called to serve Promiseland and Student Ministries as an Administrative Assistant. He supports Pastor Chris, the department leaders and many volunteers in taking care of all the details for Sunday mornings and Children's special events. Much of his time is spent on room preparation, purchasing, organizing, and coordinating.
Glen and his wife, Vicki, have been married over 45 years and have two grown children. Glen is active in SWBA (Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association), MWBC (Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention), Builders for Christ, Reedsburg Historic Preservation Committee, and Reedsburg Area Community Choir. In his spare time he enjoys watching soccer at all levels and supporting the Forward Wisconsin Football Club.
